A New Look, New Cashback Categories & More Value for Prime and Ultra

Prime and Ultra now earn cashback across more of your everyday spending, from AI tools and streaming to rides and flights. The refreshed Rewards tab brings your tier benefits and Yield Boost together. Here’s what’s new, what stays the same for your existing subscriptions, and what to know before lock amounts change on 12 October.
What’s new today
- A redesigned Rewards experience: clearer tiers, one screen to compare them, and an upgrade flow that takes two taps.
- New cashback categories for Prime and Ultra: AI, streaming, music, rides and, on Ultra, flights.
- Yield Boost, live for Prime and Ultra: extra APY on your savings, claimable daily from the vault.
- A new card cashback structure built for everyday spend, with the monthly caps unchanged.
- Updated tier requirements from Monday 12 October: Prime is $199 a year or 70,000 FUSE locked for 12 months, Ultra is 600,000 FUSE locked for 12 months. Lock before then and you keep today’s amount for your full 12 months.
New cashback categories for Prime and Ultra
The category rate applies to every purchase at these merchants, paid in USDC, with no per-category cap. Your existing subscriptions keep their current cashback 25% for Prime and 50% for Ultra. Subscriptions you start from today earn the new category rates, on every purchase, with no one-per-category limit.
- AI: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Cursor, Midjourney, GitHub Copilot. 10% on Prime, 20% on Ultra.
- Streaming: Netflix, Disney+, YouTube Premium, Prime Video, Max, Apple TV+, Paramount+. 10% on Prime, 20% on Ultra.
- Music: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer. 10% on Prime, 20% on Ultra.
- Rides: Uber, Grab, Gojek, Bolt, DiDi / 99, Cabify, FreeNow, Lyft, Yandex Go and local taxi apps. 8% on Prime, 10% on Ultra.
- Airlines, Ultra only: Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, United, Delta, booked direct on the airline’s website or app. 10%.
Subscriptions billed through PayPal, Google Play or the App Store, and flights bought through booking sites, earn your normal cashback rate. Category purchases count toward your monthly cashback cap.

Yield Boost is live
Prime and Ultra members earn extra APY on their savings, on top of the vault rate. Prime: +2% APY on your first $10,000. Ultra: +3% APY on your first $25,000.
It is calculated on your combined savings across all vaults, accrues daily, and you claim it from the banner at the top of the vault. It is paid in soFUSE, so it keeps earning from the moment you claim it.

What each tier is now worth
- Core: 3% cashback, up to $600 a year.
- Prime: 4% cashback plus the new categories, up to $1,200 a year, plus up to $200 a year from Yield Boost. Up to $1,400 a year in total.
- Ultra: 5% cashback plus double the category rates, up to $2,400 a year, plus up to $750 a year from Yield Boost. Up to $3,150 a year in total.
The more of your spend lands in bonus categories, the less you need to spend to reach your cap. On Prime or Ultra, about $1,000 a month in AI, streaming, music and rides is enough to max it out.

How card cashback works now
Your full rate applies up to a monthly spend amount, then a lower rate applies until you reach your monthly cap.
- Core: 3% with a cap of $50 a month.
- Prime: 4% with a cap of $100 a month.
- Ultra: 5% with a cap of $200 a month.
Category purchases do not count toward the spend amount. Cashback is paid in soUSD after a 14-day pending period, and refunded purchases are deducted. Cash withdrawals, transfers, wallet top-ups, crypto purchases, gambling, government payments and gift cards do not earn cashback. The full list is in the help center.
How to upgrade
- Prime: $199 a year, or lock 50,000 FUSE for 12 months.
- Ultra: lock 400,000 FUSE for 12 months.
From Monday 12 October the FUSE amounts move to 70,000 for Prime and 600,000 for Ultra. Lock before then and you keep today’s amount for your full 12 months. If you already locked or subscribed, your terms stay exactly as they are.
Locked FUSE stays on your own address, keeps earning yield and points, and is released after 12 months. Open Rewards, tap Explore tiers, pick your route.
Where to get FUSE
Two routes, pick the one that fits.
- In the app (simplest). Deposit USDC, or cash via your bank or a local ramp, then tap Buy FUSE to swap it for FUSE.
- On an exchange (deepest liquidity). Buy FUSE on MEXC, then withdraw it on the Fuse network to your Solid wallet address. You will find it under Settings > Account (app.solid.xyz/settings/account), or via Top up > Crypto > Show deposit address. Once it lands, lock it from Rewards.
One thing to avoid: the FUSE savings vault has its own direct deposit address which only accepts WFUSE (wrapped FUSE). Exchanges send native FUSE, so send it to your wallet address, not the vault address.

Prime and Ultra benefits described here apply from 5 October 2026. Category cashback applies to purchases at the listed merchants only, identified by merchant name; subscriptions billed through third-party stores and flights booked through agencies or booking sites earn the base rate. All cashback counts toward the monthly cap of your tier and is paid in USDC after a 14-day pending period; refunded or charged-back purchases are deducted. Yield Boost is available to Prime and Ultra members only, calculated on combined savings across all vaults up to $10,000 (Prime) and $25,000 (Ultra), accrues daily and is paid in soFUSE. Vault rates are variable. Annual values shown are maximums at the monthly caps and are illustrative. The FUSE lock amounts of 70,000 (Prime) and 600,000 (Ultra) apply to locks made from 12 October 2026; locks made before that date keep their amount (50,000 or 400,000) until the end of their lock period. Subscriptions paid with the Solid card before 5 October 2026 keep the previous subscription cashback for as long as they run; subscriptions started from 5 October 2026 earn the category rates. Locked FUSE is released after 12 months. The $199 annual subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled before renewal. Merchants, rates and exclusions may be updated with notice in the Rewards Terms and the help center. FUSE and soFUSE are digital assets whose value can go up or down. Solid is a non-custodial platform: you control your keys and your funds.
