Tier Trials, Wallet-to-Card Funding & More

TLDR: Week two of the shipping log. Around 600 of you were gifted a Prime or Ultra trial, Wirex cardholders can now move funds from wallet to card in two taps, card limits went up, you can pick your own username, and Apple Wallet and Google Wallet finally got proper guides. Plus a first look at what’s on the drawing board: spend modes, a tier rework, and stocks on the Earn page.
A Prime or Ultra trial, on us
The biggest thing this week wasn’t a feature, it was a gift. We picked around 600 accounts and handed them a free trial of Prime or Ultra: higher cashback, the subscription perks, the lot, for a limited time, no strings.
- You’ll know if it’s you. A popup lands the first time you open the app, and a card on your wallet screen shows the offer until you accept it.
- One tap to activate. Accept, and your tier changes on the spot, with a small celebration, because why not. A pill under your tier name shows how long the trial has left, and tapping it tells you exactly when it ends.
About four in ten of you have already activated. If you got one and haven’t, it’s waiting in the app.

Your card, easier to fund and easier to manage
- Move from wallet. Wirex cardholders can now move stablecoins straight from their Solid wallet onto their card, pick the asset, pick the amount, done. No bridging, no external wallet, no leaving the screen (scroll down to the last deposit option).
- Higher limits. Wirex card limits went up this week.
- Redesigned card actions. The row under your card has been rebuilt, and card management, spending limits, approvals, withdrawals, now lives in one place.
- Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, explained. Step-by-step guides for adding your Solid card to your phone’s wallet, right inside the app.
- Euro, up top. EUR now sits directly under USD in the deposit options instead of buried in the alphabet.

Receipts that explain themselves
Last week we made cashback visible before it settles. This week the receipt got smarter about everything else.
- Subscription cashback, labelled. The 25% and 50% Prime and Ultra perks on AI, streaming and software now show up as their own line on the receipt, so you can see exactly which programme paid you.
- Declines that say why. When a card payment doesn’t go through, the receipt now names the actual reason, over a per-payment limit, card paused, merchant not supported, instead of a generic message that could mean five different things.
- Notifications that open the right thing. Tap a card-spend notification and you land on that transaction, not on the card screen looking for it.

Referral rewards now land in soFUSE
Referral rewards are still quoted in dollars, but they now arrive as soFUSE, a savings position, not a plain token. That means the reward keeps earning yield from the moment it lands, and it counts towards the FUSE holding that unlocks your next tier. Swap it to dollars whenever you like; that part is up to you.
Small things that add up
- Pick your own username. Email signup now asks you to choose one, with live availability checks, instead of deriving something from your email address.
- Every vault has its own FAQ. The ETH and FUSE vaults no longer answer questions about soUSD.
- “Your card is on its way.” While your verification is being reviewed, the app now says so plainly, instead of showing you a checklist you can’t act on.
- Activation, explained. If a card can’t be activated, the app tells you what happened and whether there’s something you can do about it.
- One verification path. Card verification now runs through a single flow, and if we can’t detect your country, we ask, rather than guessing.
- More tokens, priced. Wallet balances now show a dollar value for more ERC-20 tokens, not just the well-known ones.
- Large iPhones, sorted. The onboarding screen lays out properly on Pro Max models.
The week in numbers
- Best spending day ever on the Solid card, set on September 10, and then the biggest deposit day ever a few days later.
- Weekly active spenders are up roughly eightfold since July.
- And for the first time, deposits are outpacing spending. That’s the ratio we’ve been trying to flip.
On the drawing board
None of this is live yet. Some of it is in internal testing, some is still in design draft. But this is what the team is building right now, and you should know where we’re headed.
- Spend modes. Today your card spends cash. We’re building two more ways to pay: a Credit mode that lets you spend against what you hold without selling it, and a Smart mode that picks for you. Borrow against your savings, repay when you like, keep earning in the meantime.
- A tier rework. Tiers are getting simpler and more valuable. Upgrading will work two ways, pay for the year, or lock FUSE for it, and locked FUSE will sit in its own vault, visible, still earning. Expect a launch offer when it lands.
- Stocks on the Earn page. Earn is being rebuilt to hold more than vaults: a catalogue of tokenized stocks, ETFs and metals alongside your USD, ETH and FUSE positions, plus a BTC vault marked “Soon”. Buy and sell from the same page you check your yield.
- One deposit flow. Every way of adding funds, crypto, bank transfer, local currency, wallet-to-card, is being folded into a single flow, so you never have to guess which door to use.
- A refreshed home. Total wealth up top, your card with its spend mode right on it, and the month’s cashback where you can see it.
See you next week
That’s week two. Same ask as last time: if something is unclear, broken, or just annoying, tell us. Several of the small things above started as a message from one of you.
A word from one of you
