Earn Rebuilt, USDC Card Spending & More

TLDR: We’re starting a weekly shipping log. Every week, what actually landed in the app — the headline features and the small stuff nobody writes a press release about. Week one: Earn became a portfolio, USDC and USDT became spendable straight from the card, cashback stopped hiding what you’d earned, tiers started doing real work on fees, and 50 other smaller changes across the app.
Why we’re doing this
Big announcements only tell you about the days we launch something. Most weeks aren’t like that. Most weeks are a redesign landing, a flow getting shorter, a label finally saying the right thing — work that adds up to a much better app but never gets its own post.
So we’re going to write it all down, once a week, in public. Some of it will be genuinely exciting. Some of it will be a button moving four pixels. Both count.
Here’s week one.
Earn is now a portfolio, not a page
The biggest visible change this week. Earn used to be a single screen; now it’s a place you check on everything you have working.
- A new Earn tab, with its own icon in the tab bar and a dedicated card for every vault.
- Estimated daily earnings on each vault, so you can see what a deposit actually does for you before you make it.
- Redesigned vault pages. Every Savings vault now has a hero, balance, APY history, strategy breakdown and its actions in one place, instead of scattered across screens.
- Cleaner APY. Rates carry a percent sign, sit in properly spaced pills, and vaults sitting at zero are hidden rather than shown as empty rows.
- Deposits scoped to the vault you’re in. Each vault’s deposit screen now shows only the tokens that fund that vault — no more scrolling past ten options to find the one you came for.

Spend USDC and USDT straight from the card
Your card can now spend USDC and USDT directly. No converting first, no shuffling money between balances before you can use it — the stablecoins you already hold are now the ones you pay with.
Cashback that shows up before it settles
Card cashback takes a few days to settle. Until this week, the app waited for that to finish before telling you anything — which meant a purchase that had definitely earned you something showed you nothing.
- Pending cashback is now visible everywhere. Earned but not yet settled, right there next to the settled amount.
- One figure per month. Settled and pending are added together into a single number, with status shown as a small chip. One number to look at instead of two to reconcile.
- Every purchase says what it earned. Card receipts and activity rows now name the amount in green from the moment you spend, rather than a placeholder that filled in later.
- Your rate, not the generic one. If your account has its own cashback rate, that’s the number the app quotes you.
- Ineligible purchases are labelled. If something doesn’t earn cashback, it now says so instead of leaving you to work it out.

Tiers started doing real work
We said in August that the higher your tier, the fewer fees you’d pay, with the detail landing alongside the full rollout. This week that went from a promise to code.
- Tiered fees are live in the app. Swaps, stocks, FX and bank deposits now carry a fee that depends on your tier, configured centrally so it can move without shipping an update. You always see the real number on the review screen before you confirm.
- Skip the Line, wired end to end. Buying FUSE to upgrade your tier now runs as a proper flow, with prompts on the benefits screen and native sheets on mobile. Your upgrade is confirmed against a completed Savings deposit — and if you’d rather just hold the FUSE in your wallet, that’s a choice the flow now offers you instead of assuming.
- Referral rewards name their token. Referral rewards are quoted in dollars but paid in soUSD or FUSE. The app now tells you which one is coming, so the number you were promised matches the one that lands.
Funding your card, in your currency
Local currency deposits got their own post last week — 16 currencies, live now. What shipped alongside it:
- Rails named up front. Each currency is labelled with the rail it actually pays over — Pix, bKash, M-Pesa — so you know before you open the flow, not after.
- A list that stops growing. Cash deposit options now show four rows behind a Show more footer. We’re going to keep adding corridors, and the screen shouldn’t get longer every time we do.
- Purchases stay where you started them. Buying crypto to fund your card used to close one modal and open another. Now it happens inside the flow you’re already in, on desktop, mobile and web.
- Rebuilt wallet funding. The deposit chooser for accounts without a card is now a proper “Fund your wallet” screen.
One activity feed
- Wallet and card, merged. Your card activity and your wallet activity are now one feed across the whole app, rather than two lists to cross-reference.
- Card purchases get their own page. A proper receipt for every card transaction.
- Rows that read like purchases. Card spend leads with the card glyph and the merchant name, signed, with the noise stripped out.
Getting your card, in one banner
Getting set up with a Solid Card has eight steps. The home screen used to have three prompts to cover them, which meant it was often vague about what to do next.
Now there’s one banner that knows exactly which rung you’re on and says so — all eight of them. And it only appears once, which sounds obvious but genuinely wasn’t true before.
Small things that add up
The part that never makes an announcement:
- Push notifications, from settings. You can turn notifications on from inside the app now, including if you said no the first time and changed your mind.
- Notifications that go somewhere useful. A rewards notification now opens the screen its message is about, instead of dropping you on the rewards home page to hunt for it.
- A direct login for people who already have an account. On mobile onboarding, where it should always have been.
- Your total, in one pill. Wallet, card and savings combined, at a glance.
- Payments that tell you what went wrong. A declined payment used to quietly re-enable the button and leave you on the same screen wondering. Now it says what happened.
- “Buy USDC” instead of “Buy crypto” on the amount screen. Four words, much clearer.
- Recovery passkeys work in every language. Account recovery now names your passkey in a way that doesn’t depend on your device’s locale.
- A card deposit is now called a card deposit. It was being filed under Savings.
- Cleaner receipts. FX fees are charged separately, so they no longer sit in the middle of a receipt looking like part of the purchase.
- Faster withdrawal timing on the Savings solver, and cleaner card details screens across the board.
See you next week
That’s week one. If something in here is broken, unclear, or just annoying, tell us — a lot of the small fixes above started as someone in the community pointing at a screen and saying “why does it do that?”
