Solid's Major UX Upgrade

When we launched Solid, our goal was to prove something simple but ambitious: that users could save, earn yield, and spend stablecoins without having to understand DeFi.
The first version of Solid validated that idea.
We saw steady TVL growth, a strong pace of new account creation, and consistent engagement across savings, deposits, and withdrawals. Just as importantly, we received a large volume of feedback through our support system and direct conversations with users.
That feedback became the foundation for this update.
But Solid 2.0 is more than a new interface.
It represents the next phase of Solid’s evolution: from a yield product into a full consumer financial platform combining savings, spending, borrowing, security, and access to multiple assets in a single, self-custodial experience.
Solid 2.0 is about building a new kind of consumer finance club: where your money works for you, stays productive, and remains fully under your control.
Onboarding Built to Get You Started in minutes
One of the biggest improvements is a fully redesigned onboarding flow.
Creating a Solid account is now simple and guided:
- clear onboarding screens that explain what Solid does
- email-based account creation with passkeys
- immediate access to the app
There are no seed phrases to manage, no wallet setup, and no technical knowledge required. The goal is simple: let users start saving, earning, and spending in minutes without compromising on self-custody.
Making Money Understandable at a Glance

The homepage has been redesigned to act as a single source of truth for your entire account.
At a glance, users can now understand:
- how much sits in their wallet
- how much is allocated to savings
- how much is available for card spending
- how much they are earning
A new earnings nudge explains, in plain terms, how much you earn per year for every $1,000 kept in Solid. This number is dynamically indexed to current yield, making returns easy to understand without needing to interpret percentages.
At the same time, all core actions are now directly accessible from the home screen:
- deposit
- withdraw
- swap
- send
When clicking into any asset, users can also see where their funds are held and on which networks those assets live

This added transparency removes guesswork and gives users a complete picture of their money without requiring blockchain or DeFi knowledge.
The result is a home screen that feels more like a modern banking app, while still running entirely on self-custodial rails.
A clearer, more informative card experience
The Solid Card experience has also been significantly refined.
Interest in the card has been particularly strong in regions where it’s currently available, and we’re seeing growing demand from users in other regions. Many users in Europe and Asia have already joined the waitlist, with availability planned for Q1 2026.
In the new UI, the card page makes everything easier to understand:
- current spending balance,
- total cashback earned since the start,
- active promotions and bonuses,
- and quick access to card actions.
Users can now clearly:
- view card details,
- freeze or unfreeze the card,
- deposit funds,
- see how much cashback they’ve earned,
- and add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Stronger security, without added complexity
Security has also been reinforced with the introduction of two-factor authentication (2FA).
Users can now:
- enable 2FA via authenticator apps,
- manage security settings directly from the app,
- and combine this with passkey-based authentication.
Funds remain non-custodial, while account access benefits from modern security standards commonly found in leading fintech products. This adds protection without compromising usability.
Coming soon: Expanding beyond stablecoins
Today, Solid generates yield on USDC. Users can already deposit using USDC or USDT, with funds converted into USDC for yield.
What’s coming next is an important step forward. We’re preparing to roll out yield on:
- Ethereum (ETH)
- FUSE, the native token of the Fuse blockchain
This will allow users to earn yield on more assets while keeping the same simple, consumer-friendly experience.

What’s next
By simplifying onboarding, making value easier to understand, improving fund visibility, strengthening security, and refining the card experience, Solid is moving closer to what it was always meant to be: a place where saving, earning, and spending just makes sense.
As usage continues to grow and new features roll out, including expanded yield options and wider card availability, we’ll keep refining Solid the same way we always have:
by listening closely and building from real behavior.
The new Solid experience is now live.
And this is only the beginning.
